THE KING'S CORONATION CELEBRATIONS 2023
The Coronation of the King and the Queen took place on Saturday 6th May 2023 and were marked with events across the country and a concert at Windsor Castle. Their Majesties encouraged people to spend the weekend with friends, families, and their communities.
This film features members of the Trefegwlys community that can remember the last Coronation some 70yrs ago.

LLANIDLOES JUBILEE CELEBRATIONS 2022
On 6th February 2022 Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.
Celebrations went on all over the country. It was encouraging to see how the community banded together to celebrate and also catch up with old friends after the lifting of restrictions relating to the Covid-19 pandemic.

There are huge concerns in Mid, West Wales and Caernarfon as plans to take away their life-saving and much-loved Wales Air Ambulance Helicopter had been leaked to the Press and the Media.
WAA had planned to move their helicopter from Welshpool Airport and Caernarfon Airport to a new location up in North East Wales. It is claimed that these areas are one of the biggest fund-raisers in Wales for the Charity. They have four helicopters based in Wales, one in Caernarfon, Llanelli, Cardiff and Welshpool and claim that they can get to anywhere in Wales within 20 minutes. But if they move to this new location, it could take 40 minutes, which shortens the golden hour of survival.
The latest helicopters are no longer looked upon as Air Ambulances, as they are now a flying hospital, with all the specialised facilities on board. WAA are saying that because of this, the golden hour is not crucial for survival. Most, if not all of Town & Community Councils in Mid-Wales have pledged their support behind the campaign to keep the WAA at Welshpool Airport. The same appears to be happening in Caernarfon for their base.

TREFEGLWYS XMAS LIGHTS 2019
Trefeglwys had their Christmas Lights switched on December 1st. The Church and the School joined forces this year to create something special. They also had in attendance 'Only Trefeg Aloud' the local male voice choir. This film had over 1.4k views on Facebook in 2 days.

REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY 2020 - TREFEGLWYS
Remembrance Sunday 2020 was different to any other year due to Covid-19 a virus that originated from China and then spread all over the world. By November 2020 over 50,000 had died in the UK and figures are still rising. A vaccine has been produced which should be available by the end of 2020. Only officials representing organisations were permitted to attend the laying of wreaths at the cenotaph. This film is an example of how the fallen had not been forgotten.

WAENGARNO WINDFARM PLANNING APPLICATION
The decision on the first controversial application (Waengarno Windfarm) was made on Tuesday 6th March 2012. The decision on the second controversial windfarm applications will be made on Tuesday 13th March 2012. Powys County Council at Llandrindod Wells turned down a windfarm application due to lack of information. Councillors strongly criticised Acciona who made the application for not supplying adequate road structure information and grid connection information. The application was turned down unanimously by Councillors who were observed by a full public gallery, with many protestors standing outside.
TREFEGLWYS COMMUNITY SHOP OFFICIAL OPENING

Trefeglwys Community Shop was owned by community members as a co-operative and proved to be very successful, offering a variety of local produce as well as petrol and diesel. Sadly, the shop and fuel station are no longer open and have been sold off.

100 YEARS ON: TREFEGLWYS REMEMBERS WW 1 & 2
This film was produced as a moving tribute to those from the Trefeglwys community who lost their lives fighting for our freedom during World War 1 and 2. They will never be forgotten. This memorial service was the last service which took place at the old Memorial Hall before it was demolished. The Memorial Plaque was moved to the new Memorial Hall.
